How to Create a Project and Save a Property

Three ways to create a project and save properties in Landchecker

Written by Airah Oquias

In Landchecker, you can create a project in three ways: through the Property Information Panel, through your Profile, or through Site Finder. Each method is described below.

Create a project via the Property Information Panel

To create a new project and save a property using the Property Information Panel, follow these steps:

  1. Select your property in map view or type the address into the search bar.

  2. In the Property Information Panel on the right-hand side, click Save to Project.

  3. In the Save to Project box, Create or Select a Project.

  4. Enter a project name (required), a project description, and any additional notes.

  5. Click Submit to create the project and save the property.

Create a project via your Profile

To create a new project through your profile, follow these steps:

  1. Click your profile in the navigation bar and select Projects from the drop-down menu.

  2. Click Create New Project.

  3. Enter a project name and description.

  4. Click Submit to save your new project.

Once your project is created, you can start adding properties to it by following these steps:

  1. Click on the project you want to edit to open it.

  2. Inside the project, click Go to Map. You will be redirected to the map view.

  3. From the map, you can add properties to your project in any of the following ways:

    • Search for a property by typing the address into the search bar, then save it to the project.

    • Navigate the map and save multiple properties to the project as you browse.

    • Add tools to support your property analysis within the project.

    • Add a consolidated site by combining multiple properties into a single site within the project.

Create a project via Site Finder

Site Finder helps you find specific sites using property data and filters, narrowing results to the sites that matter most to you. After saving a search in Site Finder, you can add those properties to a new or existing project.

To create a project from a Site Finder search, follow these steps:

  1. In map view, hover over the layers menu on the left-hand side and click Site Finder.

  2. In the side panel, select your state from the drop-down menu and adjust the toggles for the layers you want to apply, such as suburbs, municipality, planning zones, planning overlays, land size, orientation, and frontage.

  3. Click Save Search and enter a name for your search.

  4. Navigate to the My Searches tab to view your saved searches.

  5. Click the three-dot menu next to your saved search and select Save to Project.

  6. Go to Projects to view your site finder search results.
