How to use Site Finder

Find properties matching your specific requirements with Site Finder search filters.

Written by Airah Oquias

Site Finder helps you identify properties that match your specific criteria across entire states or regions in Australia. You can search by location, land size, planning zones, overlays, orientation, and frontage, then save or export your results.

What is Site Finder?

Site Finder is a property search tool in Landchecker that filters properties based on multiple criteria you define. Instead of manually checking individual properties, Site Finder applies your filters across thousands of properties and shows you only those that match your requirements.

You can use Site Finder to:

  • Find development sites within specific suburbs or municipalities

  • Identify properties within a certain land size range

  • Locate properties with particular planning zones or overlays

  • Search for properties by street frontage or orientation

  • Compare multiple areas in a single search

Site Finder is available to Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise plan members. Standard members can filter by suburb, while Advanced and Enterprise members can filter by both suburb and municipality.

How to Use Site Finder

To search for properties using Site Finder:

  1. Click the Site Finder icon in the layers menu on the left side of the map

  2. Select your state from the dropdown menu (make sure the state you select matches what's visible on the map)

  3. Toggle on the filters you want to apply by switching them to green

  4. Adjust each filter's settings based on your requirements

  5. View the highlighted properties on the map that match your criteria

Available Search Filters

  1. Suburbs and municipalities

Select one or multiple suburbs to search within. Advanced and Enterprise members can also filter by municipality. The selected areas will appear shaded on the map.

  2. Land size

Set minimum and maximum land size in square metres, acres, or hectares. Properties within this range will be highlighted on the map.

  3. Planning zones

Select specific planning zones from the dropdown menu. Only properties within your selected zones will be highlighted.

  4. Planning overlays

Choose to include or exclude properties with specific planning overlays. You can select multiple overlays to refine your search.
