How to add text labels on the map

Add, manage and customise text labels on the Landchecker map using the Text Label tool.

You can add text annotations directly on the map using the Text Label tool on the right-hand side toolbar. Text labels are useful for naming boundaries, marking key locations or adding notes to a site plan.

Text labels are available on Standard, Advanced and Enterprise plans. Colour customisation is available on Advanced and Enterprise plans only.

How do I add a text label to the map?

  1. Search for a property using the address search bar.

  2. Select the Text Label tool on the right-hand side toolbar.

  3. Type your text into the text box. Text labels have a 100-character limit and do not support text wrapping.

  4. Click Add to map.

  5. Click and drag the label to reposition it on the map.

How do I manage a text label?

To rename, hide, delete or duplicate a text label, click the three-dot menu next to the eye icon beside the label in the Tools panel or the three-dot menu on the action bar.

How do I change the colour of a text label?

Colour customisation for text labels is available on Advanced and Enterprise plans.

There are three ways to select a colour:

  • Choose a custom shade using the gradient tool

  • Enter a hex code manually

  • Select one of the standard preset colours

To change the fill or stroke colour of a text label:

  1. In the left-hand side Tools panel, select the text label you want to edit.

  2. Click Fill, then select your preferred colour to apply to the text.

  3. Click Stroke, then select your preferred colour to outline the text.

To download an image of your map view, including your text labels, select Export current map view on the toolbar. A PNG file will download automatically to your device.
