How to Order a Historical Search in ACT

Order ACT historical search showing all dealings and transactions on property title

Written by Airah Oquias

You can order an ACT Historical Search through Landchecker to view all dealings lodged over a certificate of title since it was automated. A historical search provides a chronological record of transactions and interests that have affected the property over time.

What is an ACT Historical Search?

An ACT Historical Search shows a complete list of all dealings lodged against a certificate of title since the title was automated. This document includes:

  • Previous ownership transfers

  • Mortgage registrations and discharges

  • Caveat lodgements and withdrawals

  • Lease registrations

  • Other dealings affecting the property

A historical search helps you understand the complete ownership and transaction history of a property in the Australian Capital Territory.

  • Send one email including all order items

Use this option to receive all documents together in a single email once all items in your order are ready.

Use this option if you prefer not to receive emails. You can download your documents directly from your Order Manager once they are fulfilled.

Estimated Delivery Time

ACT Historical Searches are typically delivered within the estimated timeframe shown at checkout. Delivery times vary depending on document availability from the ACT land registry (Access Canberra).

If your order has not been delivered within the estimated timeframe, you can follow up on delayed documents through your Order Manager.
