What Is an NT Certificate of Title and Plan Search?
An NT Certificate of Title and Plan Search is a document order that gives you the current Certificate of Title for a Northern Territory property along with its registered plan. A Certificate of Title is the official record of a parcel of land, and a registered plan shows the land's boundaries and dimensions.
An NT Certificate of Title and Plan Search can give you details about:
the registered owners of the property
easements and dealings registered on the title
the parcel, such as its area and survey plan reference

Key Terms Used When Ordering NT Titles
These terms appear on screen when you order an NT Certificate of Title and Plan Search:
Job Reference: a field where you enter your own reference for the order, such as a client name or file number. The Job Reference shows on your cart, checkout and order so you can match documents to your work. Volume/Folio: the unique identifier of an NT title. The volume is the register book and the folio is the page within it.
Lot/Plan: the lot and plan numbers that identify the parcel, shown in the property summary on the Document Searches page.

How to Order an NT Title From the Map
Use this method when you've already found the NT property on the Landchecker map.
Type the NT address into the search bar at the top of the map and choose the property from the list.
In the property panel on the right, choose the Documents tab. You'll see the free Property Report and Premium Property Report at the top, followed by a plan section (for example, Plan 000) that lists the NT Certificate of Title & Plan Search with its title identifier, delivery time and price.
Tick the checkbox next to NT Certificate of Title & Plan Search.
Enter your reference in the Job Reference field at the bottom of the panel.
NOTE: If Job References are mandatory for your business account, the Add to Cart and Buy Now buttons stay greyed out until you've ticked a document and entered a Job Reference. If Job References are optional, you can leave this field blank.
Choose how you'd like to order the NT title:
Add to Cart: adds the NT title to your cart so you can keep searching and order more documents in one go. Continue to How to Check Out Your NT Title Order below.
Buy Now: skips the cart and buys the NT title straight away. The document is delivered by email or to your Order Manager, depending on your delivery method.
How to Order an NT Title From the Document Searches Page
Use this method when you know the property's address or its volume/folio but don't need the map.
Choose Document Searches in the top navigation bar. The Title Search tab opens by default, so you can start your NT title search straight away.
Enter your reference in the Job Reference field. You can leave it blank if Job References are optional for your business account.
Under State, choose NT.
Under Search By, choose how you'd like to find the NT title:
Address: enter the full street address, including suburb and postcode.
Volume/Folio: enter the volume and folio numbers of the NT title.
Choose Search.
Check the property summary in the Results. Landchecker shows a map of the parcel and a summary table with the Address, Municipality, CPN, Parish Codes, SPI and Lot/Plan, so you can confirm you've found the right NT property before you order.
Below the property summary, the plan section (for example, Plan 000) lists the NT Certificate of Title & Plan Search. Tick the checkbox next to it.
Enter your reference in the Job Reference field at the bottom of the results.
Choose Add to Cart or Buy Now
How to Order Multiple NT Titles From the Standard Searches Tab
Use Standard Searches when you have the Lot/Location Code, or when you'd like to add several NT titles to your cart under one Job Reference.
Choose Document Searches in the top navigation bar, then choose the Standard Searches tab.
Choose NT under State.
Under Products, enter your Job Reference.
Choose NT Certificate of Title & Plan Search in the product list to expand it.
Enter the Lot/Location Code, then choose Add to Cart. A green message confirms "Your items have been added to your shopping cart." and the number on the cart icon goes up by one.
To order more NT titles, enter the next Lot/Location Code and press Enter on your keyboard. Repeat for each title.
NOTE: If you don't have the Lot/Location Code, use the Title Search tab to find the NT property by address instead.
How to Check Out Your NT Title Order
Once your NT Certificate of Title and Plan Search is in your cart, you can buy it instantly from the Cart Summary or review it first in your shopping cart.
Choose the cart icon in the top navigation bar. The Cart Summary shows each document, its title identifier, Job Reference and price, plus your total.
Choose one of these options:
Purchase: buys every document in your cart instantly.
View Cart: opens Your Shopping Cart so you can review your order before you buy. Continue with the steps below.
In Your Shopping Cart, you can:
change the Job Reference using the pencil icon
remove a single document using the bin icon
remove everything using Remove All
Choose Go To Checkout.
Under Payment Methods, choose how you'd like to pay for your NT title:
Credit / Debit Card
Bill to upcoming invoice
Google Pay
Apple Pay
Your default payment method is marked Primary.
Under Delivery Method, choose how you'd like to get your NT title:
Send a separate email for each order item
Send one email including all order items
Send no email and notify me for each order item with an in-app notification

Yes. Choose the cart icon, then View Cart, and use the pencil icon next to the Job Reference to change it before you check out.
Where do I find my NT title after I've ordered it?
