Enterprise organisations on Landchecker can set up a custom domain and add their logo for a fully branded experience.
What is a Custom Domain on Landchecker?
By default, Landchecker is hosted at app.landchecker.com.au. A custom domain allows you to replace the 'app' portion of the URL with your preferred word or subdomain that aligns with your company's brand.
Examples of custom domains:
property.landchecker.com.au
maps.landchecker.com.au
yourbrand.landchecker.com.au
This means your team can access Landchecker from a subdomain that matches your organisation's branding.
Who Can Request a Custom Domain?
Custom domains are available exclusively to Enterprise organisations. The request must come from an authorised administrator with the appropriate organisation permissions.
How to Add a Custom Domain
To request a custom domain for your organisation:
Click your profile icon and select Business Account
Navigate to the My Team tab
Locate the Domain and Branding section
Click the Add Domain button
Enter your preferred subdomain
Custom Domain Requirements
Your custom domain must follow standard subdomain conventions:
Use lowercase letters only
Include only letters, numbers, or hyphens
Do not include spaces or special characters
Example of a valid subdomain: property-data or maps123
Examples of invalid subdomains: Property Data (contains uppercase and spaces) or maps@team (contains special characters)
After you submit your custom domain request, the Landchecker team will manually review and verify your request. You will receive an email confirmation indicating whether your request was approved or declined.
Why Might a Custom Domain Request be Declined?
Landchecker may reject a custom domain request for several reasons:
Incorrect subdomain format: The subdomain does not follow the required naming conventions. Even a small typo or formatting error can cause the request to fail.
Insufficient organisation permissions: The request was submitted by someone who does not have administrator permissions for the organisation.
Trademark issues: The requested domain uses well-known or trademarked names that do not belong to your organisation.
Inappropriate names: The requested domain contains inappropriate or offensive language.
If your custom domain request is declined, you can submit a new request with a different subdomain.
Troubleshooting Custom Domain Connection Issues
If your custom domain has been verified but you are experiencing issues connecting to it, there are several possible causes:
Domain Name System (DNS) Propagation Delay
DNS is the system that translates human-friendly domain names into machine-readable IP addresses. When DNS changes are made, it can take up to 48 hours for these changes to propagate across all networks globally. If you can't access your custom domain right after verification, please wait 24-48 hours and try again.
Organisation Access Settings
Confirm that your Landchecker account is linked to the correct organisation that is using the custom domain. If you belong to multiple organisations, ensure you are logged into the organisation associated with the custom domain.
Cloudflare Domains
If your custom domain provider is Cloudflare, you need to set the proxy status for the domain to DNS only to verify the domain. Check your Cloudflare settings and adjust the proxy status if necessary.
Cached Browser Session
Your browser may be storing an old version of the site. Clear your browser cache or try accessing the custom domain in an incognito or private browsing window.
Firewall or Network Restrictions
Your organisation's internal network settings or firewall may be blocking access to the new custom domain. Contact your IT team to verify if any network restrictions prevent access.
If you continue to experience connection issues after checking these common causes, contact your IT team or email support@landchecker.com.au for assistance.
How to Change or Remove Your Custom Domain
To change or remove your organisation's custom domain, send an email to support@landchecker.com.au with your request. The Landchecker team will process your request and confirm once the change has been completed.
How to Add a Logo to Your Custom Domain
You can add your organisation's logo to your custom domain for a fully branded experience.
To upload your logo:
Click your profile icon and select Business Account
Navigate to the My Team tab
Locate the Domain and Branding section
Click Add Branding
Upload your organisation's logo file

Your logo will be automatically resized, cropped, and centred to fit the recommended dimensions
If your logo does not meet these specifications, it may not display correctly on your custom domain.
