Display property boundaries on the map and adjust how they appear, including stroke weight, colour, dimensions and units.
Property boundaries show where a property begins and ends. By default, boundaries appear on the base map and are hidden on high-resolution aerial imagery.
How do I turn on property boundaries?
To display property boundaries on the map:
Search for a property using the address search bar.
Click the Map Layers icon in the left-hand toolbar.
Expand Base Map.
Tick Properties.
To remove property boundaries from the map, untick Properties.
How do I adjust the stroke weight of the boundary?
In the Common Layers panel, you can adjust the stroke weight of the property boundary line to make it more visible — this is particularly useful when viewing properties in high-resolution aerial imagery.
How do I show or hide property dimensions?
To show or hide boundary measurements:
Click the Property Boundary option in the right-hand side toolbar.
The action bar will appear at the bottom centre of the screen.
Click the three-dot menu to toggle Dimensions on or off.
How do I change the unit of measurement for property dimensions?
In the three-dot menu on the action bar, use the Unit toggle under Dimensions to switch between m for metres and ft for feet.
How do I toggle bearings on or off?
Bearings show the direction of each boundary line, measured in degrees clockwise from north. They help you check a property's orientation and compare the boundary against survey plans or title documents.
To show bearings, make sure Dimensions is turned on first. Then, in the three-dot menu on the action bar, toggle Bearings on or off under Dimensions.
How do I show or hide angles?
Angles show the internal angle at each corner where two boundary lines meet. They make it easier to understand the shape of a lot, especially an irregular one, when you're planning a site layout or design. In the three-dot menu on the action bar, toggle Angles on or off.
How do I change the stroke colour of the property boundary?
In the action bar at the bottom centre of the screen, click the colour dropdown and select a different stroke colour for the property boundary line.
A different colour can make the boundary easier to see against busy aerial imagery, such as dense tree cover, red roofs or dry ground. For architects and town planners, it also means site screenshots for feasibility studies, client presentations and planning reports are clearer, and the colour can match your own drawings or brand.
