The Convert Property Boundary to Shape feature in Landchecker lets you instantly convert a property boundary into an editable shape on the map. Instead of manually tracing complex property boundaries, the outline is generated automatically and can be customised to suit your needs.

This feature is particularly useful for builders, developers, architects, and planners who need precise property outlines.

How to convert a property boundary to a shape

To convert a property boundary to a shape, follow these steps:

  1. Use the address search bar to locate the property you want to work with.

  2. In the right-hand side toolbar, click the Convert Boundary to Shape icon.

  3. Adjust the fill colour and stroke colour to suit your project's needs.

  4. Click CONVERT TO SHAPE. The property outline will instantly become an editable shape.

  5. The shape will appear in your Tools Library in the left-hand side panel, automatically named after the property address.

  6. Add the shape to a project to organise, compare, and manage your property data.

How to customise your shape

Once the shape appears in your Tools Library, you can customise it in the following ways:

  • Toggle on the area or line length to display measurements on the shape.

  • Resize the shape by dragging any point (vertex) along the boundary to adjust its position.

  • Adjust fill and stroke colour at any time to match your project's visual style.
