See how far you can walk, cycle or drive from a property within a set time using the Distance To tool.
The Distance To tool is available on every property in Australia via the right-hand side information panel. Use it to assess how well located a property is relative to nearby amenities, transport and services.
Which plans include the Distance To tool?
The Distance To tool is available on the Standard, Advanced and Enterprise plans. Upgrade to Standard or above to access this feature.
How do I use the Distance To tool?
To generate a distance catchment from a property:
Search for a property using the address search bar.
In the right-hand side information panel, scroll down to the Distance To section.
Select a travel mode: Walking, Cycling or Driving.
Select up to four time frames, from 5 minutes to 60 minutes.
Click Submit.
A blue overlay will appear on the map showing the area reachable within your selected time frame. If you selected more than one time frame, multiple shades of blue will appear to show the different catchment areas.
To start over, click Reset to clear your selections and choose a new travel mode or time frames.
How do I view nearby amenities with the Distance To tool?
To see what amenities fall within the catchment area:
Go to the Common Layers panel on the left-hand side of the map.
Switch on Amenities to display all amenity types at once, or toggle individual types to focus on specific categories such as public transport, schools, restaurants or hospitals.
Amenity markers will appear on the map alongside the blue distance overlay, so you can see at a glance what falls within your selected travel time.
