Search Tips for Better Results
Searching by Individual Name
The search tool automatically handles name variations, so you don't need exact formatting:
Mc/Mac prefixes Enter either variation (e.g., 'McGregor' or 'MacGregor') and the search checks both automatically.
Apostrophes Names like 'D'Angelo' are searched with and without the apostrophe automatically.
Spaces Whether you enter 'De La Cruz' with or without spaces, the search covers both formats.
Hyphenated names Search using the full hyphenated name (e.g., 'Taylor-Williams' or 'Anne-Marie') or just part of it (e.g., 'Taylor' or 'Anne'). The search finds hyphenated variations either way.
Searching by Company Name
Keep your search simple and let the tool handle variations:
Skip abbreviations Leave out terms like 'P/L' or 'Pty Ltd' to broaden your search.
Ampersands Enter either '&' or 'And' (e.g., 'Johnson & Associates' or 'Johnson And Associates') and the search checks both.
'The' prefix Names like 'The Property Group' are searched with and without 'The' automatically.
Include numbers If the organisation name contains numbers, include them in your search (e.g., '247 Holdings').
Special characters Punctuation like hyphens, commas, or brackets are searched both with and without them, so include them as written (e.g., 'Harris-Brown Investments' or 'Metro (NSW) Developments').
Understanding Search Fees
Name search fee: You'll be charged a search fee to retrieve the list of properties and title references associated with a specific name. This fee is charged when you submit your search.
No results = No charge: If your search returns no matching results, you will not be charged for the search.
Document purchase fees: If you choose to purchase title documents after viewing the search results, those are separate charges in addition to the name search fee.
Payment method: All fees are charged to your preferred payment method saved in your account settings.
What You'll Receive
After the name search: A list appears within the search portal and also delivered to your Order Manager containing:
Registered names matching your search
Locality information
Title reference/folio numbers
Acquired dealing information
