What You Need to Know
Parcel Identifier format: Queensland parcel identifiers typically follow the format of lot number followed by plan type and plan number (e.g., 30 RP132426, 54 BUP4089, 23 SP133611)
Job Reference: This is an optional field where you can add your own matter reference number to help track and organise your document purchases.
Estimated delivery time: EMR/CLR searches are typically delivered within 2 hours, if the order is placed within business hours.
Applicable for: This search is for Queensland properties only.
What's Included in an EMR/CLR Search
Your search will show whether the property is listed on the Environmental Management Register and/or the Contaminated Land Register, and may include:
Information about notifiable activities conducted on the land
Records of contamination or potential contamination
Site management plans (if applicable)
History of land use that may affect contamination status
Important: The EMR and CLR only contain information about land where the Queensland Department of Environment and Science has been notified. Land may be contaminated even if not listed on these registers.
Understanding the Registers
Environmental Management Register (EMR)
The EMR is a register for land-use planning and management. It records land that has been, or is currently, used for a notifiable activity. It provides information on both current and historical land use, including whether the land:
has been, or is currently, used for a notifiable activity
has been contaminated by a hazardous substance
Sites listed on the EMR are considered ‘low risk’ to human health and the environment under their current use. Being on the EMR does not mean the land must be cleaned up or that current activities must stop.
Contaminated Land Register (CLR)
Lists confirmed contaminated sites considered "risk sites"
Indicates land causing or may cause serious environmental harm
Requires action to remediate or manage the contamination
Delivery and Follow-up
If your EMR/CLR search hasn't arrived within the estimated 2-hour timeframe, you can track your order through the Order Manager or contact support for assistance.
